  • Fort Adams is a National Historic Landmark and the largest coastal fortress in North America. Tours focus on history, architecture and engineering. Fort Adams is also evolving into Newport’s Adventure Learning Destination with a teambuilding center and zip line coming soon.The Fort Adams Trust is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the programming, preservation and restoration of this Priority I Threatenedl Landmark. The Trust has partnered with the State of Rhode Island to keep the Fort open to the public and seek funding for restoration.
